EVOLUTION IS UNDEFINED Public schools are required to teach it. U.S. court cases have been fought over it. Biologists claim it to be a unifying concept. Yet, there is no scientifically agreed upon definition of evolution. EVOLUTION IS UNSCIENTIFIC The National Academy of Sciences has clearly outlined the criteria of science, of which evolution is unable to fulfill. EVOLUTION IS UNLAWFUL Statistics have shown religious faith to diminish the acceptance of evolution. Therefore, in order to loosen the grip of faith on America, tax dollars are now being spent on teaching evolution to progressively younger students. This is an infringement of civil liberties and unconstitutional.

I have read many amazing books on the Theory of Evolution. In the Minds of Men by Ian Taylor (about the history of the theory), After the Flood by Bill Cooper (about the many genealogies to Noah), Living Fossils II by Carl Werner (photographs of fossils compared to their living counterparts) being among the best. I recommend these books to anyone who will listen to me as they begin to talk to me about evolution. With those recommendations, I offer this book for their consideration. It is certainly in my top ten favorites. We teach these things as science in the public school, but we don't even have a clear definition for what the theory is. It's so nebulous! This book tries to chain down the concept so it can't wiggle away and hide behind ambiguity. Once we know what it is, Herath does a great job of determining how scientific it is.My favorite part of the book was when he makes the parallel between brands of like kinds. A fast food restaurant doesn't fight against Coke and Pepsi, yet Coke and Pepsi fight to be exclusive in the restaurant. Why? Because they are promoting a product of like-kind. In the same way, Darwinism is in a struggle with religion, because they are both faith-based systems that are struggling for supremacy of their product category. There are many other unique and insightful thoughts throughout the book. It wasn't boring at any point after the definition chapter, which was, I admit, necessary for the rest of the book. Struggle through that one, and you won't be disappointed with the rest of the book.

What is Evolution? William James Herath 9781511659635 Books Reviews
We are in desperate need of truth concerning evolution. Our education has moved to educate our children with popularism versus investigative, factual truth! Great read!
A thought provoking and inspiring approach to the topic of evolution I have never really thought about. Totally opened my eyes to new aspects of the topic and how crazy we are with the way we handle the topic today in our schools. This is a great read!!
One of the best books I have read in a long while. Would highly recommend it.
There are at least four checkmate arguments to evolutionary theory as it stands today. The U.S. Court system has abandoned evidence-based science and sequesters plain datum to support a religion of public school, systematic indoctrination, dating back at least 50 years. Truth stands well on it's own and open minds are entitled to such exposure. William has identified some of these inconsistencies and introduces them to the engaging conversation in his book.
It is a very interesting read. I can not believe that they push evolution in schools and it is not even a proven science. He also has a blog that is fun to read.
Great book!
I read this book in about two days. While the book is on the smaller side it isn't for lack of information. It's size is due to its concise and targeted attempt to present all the facts and misinformation in as clear a way as possible. I've read other reviews regarding this book and author that lean heavily on the negative. However when you read their reviews you can feel their desire to attack is rooted in their perception that their beliefs are being threatened. What is Evolution? has all of its information noted and sourced throughout the book. The author humbly admits that he is not an authoritative voice on the topic, not because he as a person is not mentally equipped to handle the evidence or the science but because he doesn't wear the collegiate garb or underscore his name with various degrees or accolades. Haven't we learned, especially in todays world, that the best access to information, interpretation of information and application of information are not exclusively housed within the walls of "higher education." I won't begin to list the numerous inventors and thinkers that have helped shape our culture that lack a college's plaque on their walls. Herath has pushed through the illusory walls that attempt to bar the common man or woman without academic approval from sharing their ideas and interpretation about the world around them. I would implore the reader to lay aside any preconceived notions about the author based on his lack of a degree and instead to base your opinions on the authors ability to share ideas clearly, source material truthfully and to engage the topic fairly. I recommend this book to anyone who is looking for an abundantly researched and investigated assessment of the theory of Evolution and its role in present day life, education and belief regarding origins.
